alaska/ModellerStudio

alaska/Batch

alaska/Batch is a command line program to calculate alaska simulation models. It serves the seamless and completely automatable use of the non-linear and linear analysis of multi-body dynamic models directly in the product development process of the user. Benefit from the possibility to link your pre-processing and postprocessing processes directly with alaska/Batch. With alaska/Batch you can calculate individual simulation models or a set of parameter variants "in one piece".


alaska/Flexible

The extension module alaska/Flexible defines flexible mass bodies in alaska simulation models. Componentes are:

  • Interface for importing flexible bodies from ANSYS
  • Preprocessor for modally reduced models of beam structures
  • non-reduced non-linear FE beam models of branched structures

Both the import interface and the preprocessor generate direct and multiple-use model components. 

alaska/Gear

alaska/Gear is used for modelling gearing of any complexity. These models can be developed separately as alaska sub-models and can be conveniently integrated into complex simulation models without modification.

  • straight and helical toothed spur and bevel gears
  • various methods for describing tooth stiffness
  • consideration of flexible gear components (housing, shafts, carriers)
  • consideration of bearing elasticities
  • models of specific bearings (e. g. hydrodynamic fluid bearing)
  • interface to MESYS bearing models

 

 


alaska/Matlab

The alaska/Matlab add-on module provides modeling components for co-simulation of alaska and Simulink models. With this, for example simulation of the mechanical part of a system in alaska and the control system in Matlab/SIMULINK. Data exchange takes place via TCP/IP, i. e. both simulations do not have to be carried out on the same computer. Alternatively, it is possible to use the alaska model directly in Simulink models via a Simulink block that loads the alaska calculation kernel.

 

 

alaska/DistributedComputation

With alaska/DC you can calculate a large number of individual simulation tasks comfortably and efficiently. These are described in an alaska ParameterSet. alaska/DC distributes the simulation tasks to the network computers involved with the aim of optimizing utilization. It is possible to define pre- and post-processing tasks. This enables automated preparation and evaluation of the simulation tasks, also in a network.   

alaska/DC can be used completely script-controlled in addition to an intuitive front end for starting and monitoring calculation tasks.  

 

 


alaska/Wind

The alaska/Wind add-on module extends the alaska/ModellerStudio to include the possibility of simulating the dynamic behaviour of wind turbines under realistic environmental conditions. The loads occurring at any point in the system as a result of external and internal influences (e. g. wind, waves, earthquakes, installation, grid reaction, control errors etc.) are determined. The complete functionality of the alaska standard software and all extension modules, e. g. for the development of new plant concepts and design studies, is available.

alaska/Dynamicus

The alaska/Dynamicus add-on module adds a biomechanical human model to the standard software alaska/ModellerStudio. Simulation models with joints of different DOF can be defined. Several methods for generating anthropometric properties are provided. Interfaces to motion-capture systems are available. In addition to Dynamicus-specific modeling components and evaluation methods, the complete functionality of the alaska/ModellerStudio can be used.
